Borneo has been at the epicentre of scientific discovery in the ecological world for 150 years, and boasts many of Asia’s most famous animals. For herpetofauna, it is absolute paradise, with many of the region’s most iconic species occurring here, with countless remarkable and rare endemics. This 5 days expedition will focus on Sabah’s mid-hill and highland environments, providing the opportunity to see all 6 of Borneo’s viper species amongst countless other certified showstoppers. Our expert herpetologist guides will go above and beyond to uncover as many species as possible, using our extensive experience in the area to target the spectacular herpetofauna highlights at each of the three locations.

Our skipper and photography mentor has almost 9 years of experience of photographing various rare species in India and around the world. He also worked as a herp educator in Madras Crocodile Bank Trust and Agumbe Rainforest Research Center. Join with us to have a magical experience in one of the most biodiverse hotspot in the World.

Our mentor would guide you throughout the expedition to understand the various techniques and methods of photographing wildlife, different animal behavior and the correct way of approaching them to get better perspective images, and the ethics of Wildlife Photography.

Our Photography and biodiversity expert would guide you through the entire plan for the Trip. After the room allotment process, freshen up and join the camp briefing over a cup of hot coffee. After a short discussion on the possible target species of the region and a few tips and tricks on Macro photography, enjoy a delicious lunch at the camp site. You must keep your camera ready with you anytime for possible sightings within the campsite. Take some rest and join the trail around the campsite in the night.

Day2 & Day3: The day begins with a hot cup of tea or coffee.  Spend the whole day looking for some diurnal species with our mentor . Learn the various techniques of macro photography from our expert on field.  In evening we will start our most exciting night trail in search of the lowland species of Borneo. We will be escorted by a local guide too for night trail
